I splurged.
I wasn't going to try to spend money on extraneous things, in the hope that I can a) pay off some debt before I leave for Australia and b) be able to afford a move to the other side of the world in general.
But I was weak. I admit it. I spent $10.
I saw this on Amazon and couldn't resist. Not only was it written by one of my favorite (and one of the best) authors, but it was inspiration to restart my writing, and it had the mesmerizing ship/ maritime metaphor.
Yum.
P.S. Don't jinx it, but it looks like Geek Icon might be stirring back to life.

OK, I know I'm a big dork for putting up Attack of the 50 ft Andrea, but I couldn't help it. The Kitsch Devil made me do it. Can I help it if I have such a juvenile sense of humor that I find these things hilarious?
By the way, I had a partner in crime. Her name happens to be Andrea James also, but she unfortunately does not have the specially uniquely wonderful middle name of Roceal, so it's OK. (I'm sure not the first Andrea James on Google, but I'm easily the only Andrea Roceal, darn it!) What this Andrea James lacks in middle name coolness she more than makes up for in Photoshopping hokey fake B-movie poster coolness. I feel so honored! Thank you, Andrea!
