Weirdest Spam Yet
I think a lot of spammers don't realize that not every email client really handles messages sent with a MIME part of text/html. My particular email client hides the html unless you specifically ask for it, when it displays it for you in a web browser. So when I got this hair loss spam today, it seemed especially mysterious, because all it showed was:
From: "Tyree Vanya" <jacedzjqn@mx174.now-daily-specials.com>
To: "Andrea James" <roceal@jngm.net>
Subject: Andrea, I'll love you more if you stop going bald
Date: Wed, 12 Feb 2003 21:48:32 -0700Some folks have designated me for several years.
Well, I don't murmur; indeed, when they embellish it,
To tell the truth, my friends, I rather relish it,
Since your true humbug's be, who as a host,
For the least money entertains you most.
Wait, Tyree! I can change! I'll make my hair grow back just for you, because I really want you to love me more. And thanks for the beautiful poetry, too. How did you know??
Is this a new trend in arty spam? What should it be called?
- "Avante Spame"?
- "Pre-Spamealite"?
- "Dadaspam"? "Spamspam"? (without the baked beans)
- "Spam Nouveau"?
- "Pop Spam"?
- "Spamhaus"?
- "Spamealism"/
