The Flying Elf's New Best Friend Is...

I see a motif developing...

I like writing one-sentence paragraphs.

Oh yeah, and I just found out that my friend Jarrod finally started a blog. I bet he's a friend of the Flying Elf too, but would publically disavow it. Watch out man, I'm putting you on my blogroll, so nyeeaaaah.

The Dream of the Flying Elf

I must be in a good mood; I've been having really nice dreams. The other day I had one so intoxicating, that when the alarm went off I immediately ignored it and attempted to go back into the dream.

I was an elf, and I had a sister. We played a game where she'd fly above me carrying a rope, and I'd swing below her on the rope. In my dream I could see us both vividly, from a third person POV, flying among moonlit clouds, myself inscribing an arc as the end of the rope swung back and forth, going higher and higher. Our "magic" consisted of being able to alter molecules around us with a thought.

On a beach, I tiptoed across an inlet of saltwater, solidifying the liquid under my feet. Up away from the shore, I ate watermelon messily. I looked up and saw a man watching me. Embarrassed, I shook my face and dissolved the watermelon from my cheeks and lips, smiling back at the man winningly with clean skin.

The Flying Elf was lighthearted and mischeivous. She wasn't exactly innocent, but she was imminently concerned with play, strangely unmarked by corruption despite her molecule-altering power. She had few worries, and was always thinking of new games or entertainments.
