Kookaburra Sits in the Old Gum Tree

Mr Wiggins was surprised I knew that song. My mom used to sing it all the time to me when I was little, and I would merry, merry sing along with her. And I used to marvel at the morbidity of Waltzing Matilda. It's a shame that's no longer the national anthem here anymore.

What have I been up to? Well, wandering around the bush up at Ku-Ring-Gai Chase National Park helped me connect with my locale a bit more. That was a couple of weekends ago. Here are some pretty thumbnails. You know what to do, don't you?

That day restored the proper reputation to the word "bush" for me.

Other than that, I've been spending way too much time with Nerd Dice. It's all Big Daddy's fault. (Warning: aforelinked site may cause extreme boredom for most normal people.)

Oh, and I did manage to make a decent start to All Things White and Circular. Now I just need to write. Maybe when Mr Wiggins leaves for SOSP, and I'll have too much time on my hands to think.
